What is Free LED Light Upgrade Govt. Rebate program ?
The Victorian Government is on its mission to reduce greenhouse gas emissions & to make our atmosphere carbon free. For this purpose, the Government of Victoria has set the target that by 2030, about 50% of Victoria’s electricity will come from renewable sources. It is estimated that about 778,500 Victorian residents will be able to get rebates on solar hot water systems, solar panels, batteries and on LED lights. Moreover, about 1500 small businesses will be able to enjoy rebates on solar panels.

You can get the Free LED light Upgrade under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program (aka VEET). It is an initiative started by the Victorian Government. The Essential Service Commission of Victoria introduced this program back in 2009. The purpose of this program is to take huge actionable steps to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions by switching to renewable energy sources. For this purpose, the Victorian Government provides rebates and discounts on energy-efficient products to the energy consumers of Victoria. Thus the Victorian Government sets its targets for a better future free from carbon footprints.

The traditional halogen bulbs in your workplace are an enemy to your wallet. When halogen bulbs in high bays are turned on, they get hot within minutes because most of their electricity goes toward making heat instead of producing light.
Fluorescent lights don’t emit much heat as halogen lights; they last longer. But they also have problems, like giving off light in all directions, and compared to LEDs, they consume too much energy & give off too much heat.
