There are two solar rebate programs in Victoria. The first one is a Smallscale Technology Certificate (STC) and the second is the Solar Homes Program. The STC program issues discount certificates with financial value to eligible users. The Solar Homes Program offers a $1,400 rebate towards the cost of installing solar panel systems.
The value of discount depends on the value of STCs at the time of installation and the size of your system. It ranges from $1,500 for a 5kw and $3,500 for 10kw system. The installer will claim the amount, which will be passed on to the user.
